Flag football: American football without contact
Flag football is a version of American football where physical contact is replaced by removing a flag or ribbon attached to the ball carrier's waist. It's the most accessible, safe, and fastest-growing version of football.
Basic rules
- 5-on-5 on a 50x25 yard field (approx. 45x23 meters).
- No contact: you defend by pulling the ball carrier's flag.
- 4 downs to reach midfield, another 4 to score.
- The quarterback can run after a backward pass from a teammate.
- Touchdown = 6 points. 1 or 2 point conversion from the 5 or 10 yard line.
- Co-ed format (women-only competitions also exist). We actively recruit both men and women — women's sport is a priority for us.
Minimal equipment
All you need is comfortable sportswear and football boots or trainers. The team provides flags (belts with ribbons) and balls. No helmets or shoulder pads required.
